Algeria, Serbia underline willingness to further develop bilateral cooperation

ALGIERS- Algeria and Serbia underlined Wednesday in Belgrade willingness to further develop their bilateral cooperation through creating joint companies, the Ministry of Water Resources said in a statement.

Minister of Water Resources Hocine Necib and Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who co-chaired the 20th Algerian-Serbian cooperation joint commission, held Wednesday and Thursday, "recalled the historical links which existed between Algeria and Serbia," underlining "the two parties’ strong willingness to further develop the bilateral cooperation by creating joint companies and increasing trade exchanges," the same source added.

This commission brings together members of the two countries’ businessmen delegations.

Necib was received, on the sidelines of this session, by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic and evoked the bilateral relations and the ways and means to develop them.

They also evoked regional and international issues of common interest.

The Serbian minister expressed his country’s willingness "to give a fresh impetus to relations with the Algerian friend country," according to the statement.

Furthermore, an Algerian-Serb business forum, co-chaired by Necib andMinister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, was organized at the same occasion to examine business and partnership opportunities between the two countries.
