Sellal invites Algerian businessmen living in UAE to invest in Algeria


DUBAI (United Arab Emirates)- Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal urged, on Monday in Dubai, the Algerian businessmen living in the UAE to invest in their country, highlighting the incentives granted by the State.

During his meeting with Algerian businessmen residing in the United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of his participation in the World Government Summit, Sellal underlined that Algeria needs the experience of its children settled abroad, recalling the reforms engaged for the national economy development.

"Algeria no longer makes a distinction between the private and public economic sectors," said Sellal.

"There is one national economic sector set to further develop," insisted Prime Minister, who emphasized the "importance to get rid of dependency on hydrocarbons."

Sellal insisted on the "substantial human and material potentials possessed by Algeria, as well as the opportunities that enable it to develop its economic field," underlining that the country needs "the private sector to change its economic mode." 

He also stressed the need to move towards the creation of wealth in key areas that can add value in the industry, the digital economy, agriculture and others. "

Concerning the Algerian-UAE bilateral relations, Sellal has announced that an Algerian-UAE economic forum will be held by the end of March or early April in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a large number of representatives of public and private Algerian economic companies.
