Bouchouareb starts visit to Italy to step up economic partnership


MILAN (Italy)- Minister of Industry and Mining Abdesselam Bouchouareb started Tuesday a three-day visit to Italy, intended to boost economic partnership between Algeria and the European Union.

Bouchouareb is accompanied by a delegation made up of officials from his department, business managers and the chairmen of Employers Forum (FCE) and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACI).

The visit will be marked by the holding of an Algerian-Italian forum Wednesday, in Milan, in the presence of Italian employers' organizations and businessmen.

The minister, on several occasions, expressed Algeria's will to increase Algerian-Italian industrial cooperation projects, through mutually beneficial partnerships, including the SMEs of both countries.

Algeria's economic approach is mainly based on investment in the industrial projects that are likely to contribute to diversifying national economy.

The move is due to led to a cut in the soaring imports while oil prices are plummeting.
