US investors urged to trust Algerian young entrepreneurs

WASHINGTON DC- Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdesselam Bouchouareb urged Wednesday in Washington the USbusiness community to trust the Algerian young entrepreneurs to bring new perspectives to the bilateral economic cooperation.

In a statement during "Doing business in Algeria” meeting held in US capital, the minister affirmed that Algeria set a challenge which is “positioning itself on the ever-changing world industry map," through dynamic young entrepreneurs.

In Algeria,  "you will meet with fresh and talented entrepreneurs, assuming their ambitions, without complex. They are up to the challenges," the minister told US businessmen.

Citing a recent study by the Business Consulting Group firm which reported the will of 54% of US companies to relocate their activities or leave Asia in the coming years, Bouchouareb urged these companies to explore opportunities offered by the Algerian market.

He said that Algeria is "a destination that meets all the demands of the US entrepreneurs," recalling that the US renowned firms have already confidence in Algeria.

In this regard, the minister mentioned the examples of the deal concluded between Sonelgaz and General Electric on the building of gas turbines plant: "this is the third largest contract of GE since its founder Thomas Edison," he said.
